Manchester United face Brighton and Hove Albion for the second time in four days in the Carabao cup which the Red Devils would want to win and end their trophy drought. A game that ended in the most dramatic way possible, a penalty given after the full time whistle was blown is one which wont be forgotten for a long time regardless of the performance of the team. Nonetheless, I have to put my hands up and say that we were poor and the result was probably not deserved but that is football, it isn't always kind. And Manchester United have a knack for rescuing games at the eleventh hour after not playing well throughout the game with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the living embodiment of the sentiment. This is a game where Ole will look to finally put out a team to dominate proceedings as we haven't done that yet..

Brighton, on the other hand will be out for revenge. They could be deemed as unlucky because they did everything to deserve a point, but life isn't always kind. Neil Maupay's final minute handball will be on his mind and he will be out for blood and it will be up to United's shaky defense to stop the free flowing attacking football from the seagulls. 

TEAM FORM

Manchester United's form as of late has been a roller-coaster ride - the opening day defeat against Crystal Palace doing them no favours as they were hammered at home and showed no creativity. The same was the case against Milwall although this time it was poor finishing to blame and Greewood and Rashford had to score after coming on in the last ten minutes to truly put the game to bed. The game against Brighton was an insane story as it was won after the final whistle was blown with a Bruno Fernandes penalty. 

Brighton have so far had a bright start to the campaign and Graham Potter's philosophy has gelled well within the team as they are a constant attacking threat. Even if they have lost two of their three fixtures in the Premier League - against Chelsea and Manchester United, they can be termed as extremely unlucky to not get anything from the match. They did win against Newcastle though and also won their second and third round fixtures in the Carabao cup resoundingly. 


TEAM NEWS

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced that Axel Tuanzebe is very close to full fitness as he has been back in training and expects him to be available for selection after a fortnight. Phil Jones is also sidelined due to injury.

Yves Bissouma will be unavailable for the seagulls as he serves his 3 match ban after being sent off against Newcastle. Jose Izequerado and Florian Andone are unavailable due to injuries.

PREDICTED TEAM

Dean Henderson should start for this one as it is a cup tie and he should play for all cup and champions league games. Eric Bailly should also start in this game along with Brandon Williams. Diogo Dalot is available and so if Fosu Mensah and it will be interesting to see if he relies on any of them. Fred along with Pogba can be the midfield due along with Van de Beek. Upfront, I predict Dan James, Juan Mata and Odion Ighalo to start with Martial and Greenwood on the bench ready to make an impact.


PLAYER TO WATCH OUT FOR

ERIC BAILLY  - Eric Bailly has done absolutely nothing wrong since he has come back from injury and I think it is fair to say that he has been our best center back in this period with him being extremely strong defensively. This game is one where he needs to impress in hope that he can dislodge Victor Lindelof from the first team and he will have to deal with the fluid Brighton attack making him the one to watch out for.
