Solskjaer's Manchester United have fared pretty well in what has been said as a season-defining week for the club. After a few dismal 0-0 draws, The Red Devils were to face a rampant Manchester City side, running away with the title. And oh boy, were they up for it. We brought an end to City's 21-game winning streak through a wonderful team performance. The very next match, we had a below-par performance against AC Milan in the Europa League, somehow got a goal and somehow gave it away in the last minute. Having more or less secured Top 4 with a win against West Ham, Manchester United also knocked out AC Milan from the Europa League and passed 3 out of their 4 tests in the last 2 weeks.

The final test awaits The Red Devils as they look to progress to their 5th consecutive semi-final. This is Solskjaer's final battle before the International Break, after which he expects most of his squad to be fit and firing for the business end of the campaign. The Reds have already faced The Foxes once this season in the Premier League, playing a 2-2 draw on Boxing Day.

Both teams are in good form as Manchester United would like to continue their 14-game unbeaten run. Meanwhile, Leicester City comes back from a free-scoring 5-0 win against a devastated Sheffield United side, with Kelechi Ihenacho grabbing a hattrick.

TEAM NEWS

Rashford is yet to fully recover from his ankle injury and stays a doubt for the tie

[via Sportskeeda]

Rashford hasn't yet fully recovered from his ankle injury and is very unlikely to feature against Leicester. Cavani pulled out of the AC Milan squad due to a reaction in training and hence, is a doubt for the tie. Martial is expected to pass the fitness test. Pogba made an instant impact from the bench against Milan and looked lively. He's expected to be fit, although, Ole mentioned in his press conference that he might play only 45 minutes.

Ricardo Pereira is out through a hamstring injury and Marc Albrighton is expected to take his place. Dennis Praet is fit to feature again for The Foxes

PREDICTED LINEUP

Predicted Lineup
Predicted Lineup

I expect De Gea to make a return between the sticks after being kept out of his duties due to the birth of his daughter. Our conventional back four seems to be the way to go. I would like to see Van de Beek start after returning from injury, but I'm not sure if Ole would pick him. With Rashford injured and Martial still a doubt, I would like to play Greenwood upfront, with Dan James on the LW and Van de Beek/Diallo on the RW.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR

Shaw has been in terrific form this season

Luke Shaw has been in phenomenal form this season and possibly the best LB in the Premier League. He has definitely put himself in Southgate's Euros plans and has been a revelation for Manchester United. Alex Telles can be credited for providing competition for the Englishman, but Shaw deserves all the plaudits for putting in the work to get where he is right now.

VERDICT

Leicester City 0 - 2 Manchester United
